Overview Please join us for the 16th Annual Walker Shank Memorial on Saturday, Aug. 29th at Chatmoss Country Club in Martinsville, Va. Please join us for the 16th Annual Walker Shank Memorial on Saturday, Aug. 29th at Chatmoss Country Club. A pool party will follow the tourney, also at Chatmoss. Walker Shank was an avid golfer throughout his life, and competed on the Martinsville High School varsity team for four years. A portion of event proceeds will go to fund the Penn-Shank Memorial Endowment Scholarship for students at MHS. Our goal is to raise $2,500 for the scholarship fund through this tourney. All teams will tee off at noon (shotgun start). The tournament will feature a Captain’s Choice format with 4-person teams. The fee to play is $75 per player. A four-man team costs $300 per team without mulligans, or $340 per team to get 2 mulligans per player. All golfers will be eligible for 2 closest to the pin prizes, a long-drive prize and a closest-to-the-line prize. Each golfer will receive a boxed lunch, available as early as 11 am.
